What exactly do you look for in your rollers. I will be completely honest. (and I do not pick from the shelf)
1 - I want them to be big and stand tall.
2 - I want them to have a strong gut and and a very strong chest.
3 - I want the bird to have a big thick neck, and a powerful flat head on top.
4 - When they are in their regular stance, I want there to be 1/4 inch between the end of their tail and the end of the wing tips.
5 - For colour, I would prefer it to have red in the past. ( don't breed for colour by the way)
6 - No muffs; No Boots. (it is just me)
7 - I want them to be 100% Birmingham Roller
8 - And obviously they have to spin well, deep, fast, frequently, and I want them to kit well.
What about you?

Hey Nick I will take a pair like that, I am just not getting the depth I want or the frequency, I am working with two pairs of old blood 514 Frank Liven stuff. I was getting some good results out of a hen I got from Hector C off his lace and a Norm Reed cock, but the bop ate all 07 hatches, and someone stole the hen and her mate, an old blood Smith. I do have the last two a Brother and Sister mated up out of this pair and hope to get them flown out before bop returns. PS never have mated this close before I hope to get the blood set for a good out cross. Last year before the bop cleaned out the kit, we did have a few full 20 bird turns out of the 514 stuff, they were not frequent or deep only about 5 to 10 ft but fast, the few that survived are not rolling after 8 months of lock down, and they have been back in the air for 2 mouths. Back to the point yes I look for the same as you do in Rollers maybe this year will produce 1 or 2 good stock birdS. L.O.L .PACOS BILL
