How old are the Hank Johnson Fireballs when they start to roll? Mine are about 4 months and they just fly around like homers, They fly about one hour or less. Just wanting to know. Thanks Ken oyes I fly them with my B'ham rollers about 12 of them

Ken, I couldn't tell you about the Johnson birds but I can tell you about my LV French family. At 4 months they are definitely not rolling or doing much more than deep tail sitting for that matter. As deep as my family is, I don't think they would be able to physically handle the roll at 4 months. My birds are coming into the roll at 7 to 9 months. That is a long time to wait but so far all of them roll, some better than others. My oldest kit birds are almost a year old and I am seeing 50+ feet and expecting to see some 100' birds in the near future. :)

Fireballs take longer to come into the roll, but when they do you will be glad you waited! if you lock down, usually the second fly season

Ken mine start flipping at three to four months. But I fly them every day. I have had some start to flip at two months. I have some that wait as long as five or six months. They dont lock up and spin until after six months and you wont see any real depth until closer to eight or nine months. They will be at thier best at eighteen months to two years old. I am thinking of putting a kit in the eleven bird fly.
