I had eight young birds up and they were flying well. Then all of a sudden they scattered, some went high some went low. I figured they saw a hawk. I looked up high and then I saw it, diving after my roller, It had to have been a parrigren Falcon. It was moving like a rocket, had to have been going over 100 MPH. My roller zig-zaged at just the rite moment. Then the roller started going high, thats when I could see it was a falcon. when it had to go up it wasn't so fast and the rollers got away. BOPS I hate them. But what an air show it was. In about an hour all rollers returned safe but tired.

Whenever I see a bop after a bird it's like a scene out of "Top Gun", and you know that bird is flying for it's life and I cant breath until they get away. I love to see a frustrated bop leave hungry. I saw a bird fly a bop into a building in San Jose, hawk missed couldnt slow down hit the side of a building. ---------- They gotta Spin to win.....Jay

If the peri is atacking low enough and close enough to where you are standing, try blowing a referees whistle as loud as you can just as he is about to hit.It throws them off more often than not. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

trust me these hawk or falcons would attack any where any time...why I say this is because...my roller was right on on the trap door ready to go in...so then I went to next to the trap and tried to push it in...my grandma called me from behind then I looked back and in my mind I was like "that's not one of my pigeon flying straight at us." then it flew so quick that by the time I lift up my hand to hit it...its passed right under my arm already and I barely touch the tail...luckily my roller took off right then and the ambush was unsuccessful. It came back after a while and now trapped right in when land on board. thats my story...
