You could raise it but it might have some consequences. If oi were u i wouldn't take the risk of saving the life of one bird and have my birds get sick.

Just like CVRC said. You need to decide how valuable that little bird is to you. Our rollers are very suseptable to alot of the diseases that wild birds can carry. I personally wouldnt mess with it. HUGE RISK. Joe ---------- J.M.Urbon Lofts A Proven Family of Spinners http://www.freewebs.com/jmurbonlofts/

I'd get it away from your birds as soon as possible! Myself I'd cull it.I shoot every feral that shows up at my loft. You don't call them bridge rats for nothing!

YOU SHOULD SAVE THAT SQUEAKER AND CARE FOR IT UNTIL IT CAN FLY.. THAT IS WHAT I WOULD DO AND HAVE DONE 4 TIMES ALREADY.. DO NOT CULL IT.. GOOD LUCK WITH IT. MAYBE YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP IT IN WITH YOUR ROLLERS. I DIDN'T ---------- Andrew

Andrew what you need to understand is that some of us have MANY MANY years invested in our birds. It has nothing to do with heart but more with being willing to sacrafice my birds and all of the years I have invested in them for a single ferel pigeon. lots of illnesses are able to transfer without being in direct contact with another bird. Unless you strip down and dissifect yourself after handling it each time you are at risk of transferring something to your birds. Yeah like before I was going to pick up the bird..I thought about how much I put into my rollers and didn't want to risk it at all...then my girlfriend said to me "Dude, I've seen you take care of all the sqeaks in your roller loft because they are became orphans ...and just because that little bird out there is not one of yours...so your going to leave it out in the hot weather" then I started to feel bad so Yep there it is in a separate cage with medicated water and feed. I will let it free when it can fly. JUst to all my roller friends out there, you don't have to do this and basically this is for you own rights. thanks guys

I BELEIVE THAT YOU SHOULD CARE FOR IT.. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF ITS NOT A ROLLER.. IF YOU LIKE ROLLER THEN WHY DONT YOU LIKE FERAL PIGEON OR ANY PIGEONS AT ALL??? I HAVE SAVED ALOT OF FERAL PIGEONS..WHEN TEHY LEARN HOW TO FLY DONT FEED THEM AS MUCH AND TEHY LEAVE YOUR LOFT =) I REALLY DO LIKE PIGEONS BUT ROLLER COMES FIRST ;)

I use to save any bird i see on the street but them I learn I was inferring with nature sometimes the birds is sick and the parents toss it out of the nest so I let nature take its cause.now if i go touch it and the parents try to attack me like they want it i try to save it. but i leave it near by where they can feed it too. ---------- Ralph
