the guy looking for norms number that the right number to be looking for if you ask any of the real breeders what is the back ground of their birds it go back to norm the guys who winning the w/c fly norms birds and anyone thats strong in flying our using his birds and yes just like anything else money talks you gotta have money to be the boss you cant go wrong with norm guys go wrong because they keep trying to cross making in there own strains as they say you cant do this in no two years and win nothing look at the low scoring in southern cali the only smart guy out here today keeping up with the score charts is keith london ive seen over 100 dudes fly this year and im not impressed one bit. thats why norm dont want to deal with pigeon keepers so to not insult them he charge um up and then they put it on something from george and george got it from ron who put it on sams and they band um and fly um and they DO NOT SCORE GET YOU A FAMILY OF BIRDS TAKE YOUR TIME LEARN THE FAMILY AND WAIT UNTIL YOU NEED TO CROSS IT OUT AND THEN USE SOMETHING THE GUY WHO SOLD YOU THE FAMILY SUGGERST AND WAIT IT OUT AND TESTED TO MANY GUYS ARE TRYING TO CREATE A NAME WITHOUT PUTTING IN THE TIME AS FOR ME I FLY NORM REEDS BIRDS I DONT CROSS UM OUT AND I USE THE SAME FEEDING FLYING BREEDING AND MANAGEMENT HOW CAN I GO WRONG YOU DO THE SAME AND GOOD LUCK

George, I went to Norm's on a couple different occasions in the 90's and hand picked proven breeders for $50 each. Proven birds that produced some fire! Times have changed. Those same birds are probably 4 hundred bucks each.
There is some acreage property for sale on his street that I was going to look at. Maybe I'll call him and stop by.

4 Korner it seems you have a close eye on the guys from Cali and how thier birds are doing. Where do you live because everyone must be very successful if they are flying somewhere else other then Cali. I also have Norm Reed birds and I don't cross. I didn't do to good in the world cup it just was not my day and also my first time. The majority of the guys who use the Norm birds really dont cross them. Maybe you need to pay Cali a visit and see for yourself what guys are doing in thier breeding lofts. From my expierence with rollers you not gaurenteed to win. One day the birds are the smoking the next day nothing seems to go right. Oh I would hate to believe the only smart guy in Cali is Kieth london. Wow where did we go wrong.

4KORNER i guess i see your point. After all stats are everything when it comes to competitive flying. The little buddy was a nice touch you must be a vet in this game. Once again point now well taken. Hopefully one of us can put us back on top if not someone we know.

hey i pay close attention to anything im involved in and im from cali im not a pro but i have observed and listen and spent money and made mistakes the first year i dumped off 45 pair of some of everyones birds 40 bird 300 bird three familys of birds in my loft then i realized the competition side and said hold up im getting confused and i will never get a chance at the world cup with 4 strains and a bunch of pigeon talk i started looking at the high end guys winning and the low end guys like me buying all the name brand strains i kept 8 pair out of 45 this year gave all the rest away and they were good rollers but i think to really be competitive it takes time and patience and i think its better if you start from one familiy and a breeder thats proven to be a winner in this business and work it out alot of guys like i was are trying to make name brand without putting a lot of time in it i think you have to learn how to cross out birds you need experience you ever saw a diagram of a breeder how he starts his foundation what he mixes when he mixes and why he mixes thats years right there you ever review the scores in most clubs today my friend they are low and you ever think or ask why. all different bred birds it starts from the loft look at george loft on this page he is a pro look at his colors ask him why when does he breed and why he did what he does to his foundation im talking to newcomers like myself to the competition side you ever look at pedigrees and see the foundation then how could you overlook norm cornell and others but when we get the birds they been tried tested and used up in crosses no competitor will give their number 1 pair but the offsprings maybe and if you fly it feed with with 19 other famliy of birds and because im not just talking we are the guys holding the rookie fly off to show new guys how and why i want to see what you got in the air and want you to see mine and we learn and be competitive

hey roll email me like i was telling you i been observing alot of flies in cali this year to me bro it seems as though no one is really pushing each other everyone in the clubs have all type of name brand birds but the scores are low i know the birds dont perform well all the time but when its time to compete doesnt that matter if your birds are still not kitting or wouldnot notice 4 weeks before the fly if they going flat and i ask why are they flat why didnt they roll together why did two land i ask myself these questions i never say anything to anyone because im happy to see guys get together and fly so i dont trip on if they good or bad i see guys in competition and they say these birds are like athletes im a coach and competitor i look at the stats i think clubs in different regions would do better if they continue to work as a team and compete against each other to make our members better i dont know its un motivating already i had rollers in my back yard as a youngster and could put on a better show dont get me wrong its a few guys thats impressive jerry higgins abel burro keith london darik mc ghee some cprc guys there are more and they have had bad days but they are competitors with stats to back um up bottom line i think to many guys are chasing name brand to start a line but missing the time it takes to learn how to cross these guys birds based on the old theory roller to roller i think we can do this with a 5 year plan then you might need to find a cross but i will use pedigree and go back to the source for advice some of these guys are in 5 clubs chasing competition they need better guys to make them better to better the birds think about it stick to one family of birds

roll enter the rookie fly off to back up what are theories are and i assure you in this event everyone is a winner and we will learn to pay more attention to the does and donts and be more competitive a lot of guys who created their own strains and made a name for themselves want to give the old school guys the respect and their method of breeding its a personal thing ill fly against guys who have 20 different birds in their kit and win if a guy dont follow good feeding methods you can win if he works and havent had time to give to the birds you can beat um that way if he not watching the kit closely and you do you can win its up for grabs give yourself two years and get um up
ask for the pedigree it goes back to the teachers of this game if they still around go to them and spend time raising them like they raised um same feeding do not change up same method of flying the offspring use the w/c standard to judge your own birds and if you have any problem call the breeder for advice but do not let the theory of crossing your birds out out until we get more experience to need crosses you have to know both families to be good at it dont waste time fly and win man you doing a great job
