when they are in their juvenile age...that's when most of the flight wings and feather's has reach its limit and once they get stronger...you'll see when they are ready when flapping their wings to exercise...but put them on the roof or the top of your loft..let them study the area ...then teach the trapping..

5 weeks they can fly. I had some of mine rolling good at 6 weeks. I'll tell you one thing, that isn't a good thing I found out when they are rolling at 6 weeks. At least the 4 I had rolling that early didn't end up so hot. I'm not allowed to tell you why.

I put mine in the kit box at four weeks and they are flying by five and kitting at six rolling at eight sometimes.
