I have recently rejected several application for individuals to become site members due to inappropriate user names they selected.
And by a response or two that I received, I can see my decisions were the right ones.
When new users sign up to post, I reject user names that may or may not contain gang monikers or allusions to same, crude words, knick-names, or initials or numbers with certain secret meanings or names representing nationalities, guns, weapons of any sort, (others to be announced)...
This site is NOT A FREE FOR ALL! I have certain liberal policies when it comes to allowing free flow of good discussion but don't mistake this for being allowed to say WHATEVER you want.
The best way to ensure you are approved is to use your real name as your member name.
It also helps the rest of us know who you are. Besides, if you plan on being around awhile, we will probably know who you are anyways...lol ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

Tony Good for you. this site don.t need their kind. I never figured out why some people have to hide or use odd names in the first place. Be proud of who you are. Richard

Thanks you guys for your encouraging words and I am truly happy you all enjoy the site.
Not everyone values their membership - some see it as a cheap commodity to be used and then thrown away. But if you are in the roller game to stay, the ability to post and participate becomes more valuable over time.
I find there are many fly-by-nighters in this hobby who shake up the normal flow and are out, I call them drive-by posters, they toss their verbal grenade and are gone.
We get to pick up the pieces. I try to catch them early on and have learned to recognize many by the kinds of user names they choose or the level of respect they show long-time posters of this site.
I am just trying to make it a good clean place where good honest roller talk can take place. Thanks for everyones support! ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

It's very good that you do that Tony..., which is: ===> "Reject user names that may or may not contain gang monikers or allusions to same, crude words, knick-names, or initials or numbers with certain secret meanings or names representing nationalities, guns, weapons of any sort" <===
I think it's fantastic that we here in the United States live in perhaps the most diverse nation our planet has ever had. It is the dynamic combination of these diversities whether it be race, ethnicity, religion or whathever.... that makes this great country of ours such a great place to live. ...however
It is the positive influence of folks within our society that set examples recognized by the masses on which the existence of our civilization and culture depends mightily.
...and Tony,
All negative thoughts, ideas and actions are disruptive and can lead to unwarranted venues. I've always felt that it was imperative as human beings that we choose how to act responsibly when there is a clear choice between good and bad consequences.
MEMO: We must cultivate our diverse friendships like a landscaper cultivates a garden.... for often it is by the small actions of our daily lives that over time we have the greatest influence on the world.
