I would not put out fresh water because you want to know that they are all drinking from the waterer that you have mixed the 4 n 1 in. They won't be used to the taste and they might not drink it if they have an alternitive.
Make sure you follow up with pro-biotics, or something like yogart to get some good gut bacteria back in their systems!

just regular yogaurt ? do i mix it with feed or just open and set in

Just take a big spoonful and shake it up in a gallon water jug with water of course and give it to them. I clean the water jug every day and put new in! I would do this for 2 or 3 days! If you have city water with chlorine, let the water set in a jug for a couple of days before you put the yogart in and the chlorine will disapate! If not, the chlorine will kill the good bacteria that your wanting!

ok thank u all for ur help now with the gollan of 4 and 1 i dont use what is the shelf life or should i just pour the rest out after the seventh day

Jerry,try to only mix up what you need for one day.
And take the grit away till you are finished medicating.
