I was at good friends house today watching his birds fly. He is the local "expert" rollerman. Been in several organizations and was even a judge,so he does know his birds. I was suprised to see how high his birds flew. He seemed to think it was great. They were so high you could barely tell when they rolled! My birds don't usually fly that high and roll at a much lower altitude. Which is the proper or preferred way?

High enough for safety, low enough for the quality of the roll to be seen clearly.

I prefer my birds not to go over 250'. Many think this is too low. But our ground is as flat as a pancake around here so they have plenty of safety at that hieght. Of course it is easier to hide faults at a higher elevation. But I would rather have no faults and see my birds better.
