In your opinion what does a person have to do to be considered a LEGEND in the Roller Hobby ???
1. win some major flys
2. breed some rare colors.
3. create a odd looking bird that Rolls ( Gigantic muffs, Crest, ETC )
4.Create a strain of Birds that is user friendly and very competetive.
5.sell a ton of Birds
6. donate lots of there time and some money organizing Flys
7. win a lot of trophys in Lawn shows.
8. piss alot of people off because they tell it like it is.
9. Keep pigeons in the backyard for many years.
10. Have great penmenship and write short storys about what they think is the real birmingham roller.
11. Give away a ton of Birds.
12. Judge a Ton of Flys.
13. Be nice and agree with everyone , so you dont get anyone mad.
14. Have a nice stack of pedigrees with lots of famous Band numbers on them.

That is easy George, a persons birds and what they can make them do is what makes the legend, there is only one way and that is to put them up for the world to see.
The other ways used to work, no more though, it is a put em up and let the birds do the talking world now.

Harder to be a legend out side of your own mind now. You have to do it all, but most importantly your birds have to be consistently among the best. More than a once or twice visitor to the top ten.

Hey George, simple, put your gonads on the table (your list) and let everyone else (who's done nothing on your list) whack at it with a hammer and if you can get away with it intact, you are a legend.
I am more impressed with doers than watchers and would rather be around those kinds of people, even if I don't agree with them.

Mean something to someone; help others succeed; be generous with your time and resourses. Do this and ask nothing in return, can pretty well makes you a legend.
I met a legend just awhile back. A quiet and bashful man who is generous; willing to help people to succeed; means a lot to me; and has never asked for nothing in return.
