This is for young birds!

You can't fly them to much! I try to fly them every day, some fly twice a day!

I feed mine all they can eat in about 20-30 minutes and then pull the feed tray!

Feed them a mix of seeds or pellets or a combination until they get 5 or 6 mo old!

Fresh water every day!

Go to the "reading room" and check out some articles there about getting started!

Val,
I have been flying them about twice aday, sometimes 3 times.
I was feeding breeder mix to ween them and now giving 1/2
milo and 1/2 wheat.I did not want over work them.I had some problems with bop for a couple of weeks. No sign of the sob now.So know they are getting some good flying time in.I've got one that just started flying yesterday and he wants to land on the telephone pole.None of my birds do that, they all land on the roof of the loft and kit box.How long should i give him before I pull him out?
Thanks Val,Brian

cr250 you might wan't to try feeding the that one bird up and not releasing him until the others are on there way down. He should be flying with the rest of them in know time and remember patience is key.

Brian,
They need a good mix till about 6 months old to build that brain and muscle, then cut them to wheat/milo.

bertie, with my birds generally if there is a problem of landing early or not kitting I have found it to be a health issue. The bird is usually light wether it be worms or a virus or just a slow timid eater. Once I resolve those issues they normally come around.
