Are there any seeds that are harmful to pigeons.. Also can they eat soybeans? They would be a good protein booster..

They have some difficulties with realizing the full potential of soybeans. There are better seeds and grains that they do better with.
Many who feed soybeans boil them and feed it out after drying. There are some nuetrients locked into the soybean that pigeons have a hard time extracting. The boiling breaks down that process.
Now, this shit I have spread forth is just what I have heard. I have never fed soy and I know of no one personally who has done it. Just what I have heard without studying soybeans.

Soybeans have to be roasted in order for pigeons not to get sick eating them. Pigeons can't digest one of the enzymes in soybeans.

I've decided I am not giving them soy beans.. lol Ty they have even more protein than that.. about 35%. ---------- Andrew
