The mom is a Blue check w/f and the dad is a red self if that will help any??

Typically I`d think a basically black bird would be hard feather. but this bird just kinda looks to be soft feathered to me. It might be from the rec. red in its background. It also looks to be a good spinner to me.
well, am I wrong on both? Just curious... LOL

Sundance I read your profile i thought it was very funny. As for the bird he should turn out to be a good spinner he's out of my Johnny Smith stuff. But as far as the color on that bird I'm not sure, I heard blue checks, red checks, blue bars and red bars are all hard colors. Reds, blacks and some others are soft colors. So the question would be if this is considered a black (soft) or check (hard). Thanks for any answers.

In my opinion black can be hard or medium, fly him and you will truly see what he or she really is. LOL
