If they were pulled 1 inch away from the wall they would have been perfect. Too wide & the birds will double up & mate. Box perches work better V perches are easy to clean.

Old timers use box perch; easy to grab bird.
Newbies use V perch easy to clean.

V,perch they will try to fly away,
Box perch they will back inside & try to hide.

I like your kitbox Tou. The wire floor was a magnificently marvelous idea. Good job!

...but

Personally I would have installed V-perches.... they help to keep droppings off the birds better.

it took me about 2-3 days. i like the v-perches but i dont know how to build them and the box perches are easier for me to build.

Tou nice kit box .take a board cut one 7 inch and another 8 and nail the 8 on top of the 7 and run a small wood across that will hold it and nail it to the kitbox or first to a long strip that will hold more on a row,,then nail it to kitbox.
