Your birds will tell you. They will come down when ready.

You can fly them all that THEY want to fly. They will return to trap before they get dangerously overly heated. I always make sure I have 1 1/2 to 2 hours of daylight left when I fly

I fly mine every day in 90-100 degree heat. Sometimes they wont stay up when the humidity is in the eighties and nineties. But if they are used to it then it should not bother them. Just dont run out of daylight and have an overfly.

Hey, I would say as long as you can run at a good pace in the same heat! When you think its time to stop, that's how long you should fly them in the heat. LOL

Remember, these are animals, show them some consideration for the additional effort it takes to fly and perform under a hot baking sun. The humidity doesn't help at all. JMO

Tony hit it on the nail,,take a good look at your birds in the air with a pair of binoculars if they are high or not just look at their beaks are they open grasping for air.bring them down keep the time short maybe getting up real early where the sun is not that hot yet.do not give water right away wait till they are calm down .listen to them they will tell you .if they working hard you don't expect that to go on for more than 20 minutes when its that hot.use common sense..you be alright..

i agree, your birds will tell you how long they want to fly when it omes to high heat. My birds are used to this sunny san diego weather...its crazy hearing other people fly in 115 degree weather. My birds wouldnt last more than 5 minutes. They have to many luxuries!

Day light is the biggest factor when flying late in the evening as other mention above. I would also add dont flag them to keep them up in high heat conditions. They will find another place to land and create a new problem. I'm lucky in that I have my wife to let my youngsters out in the middle of the day and this is helpful because it makes them learn the trap process quickly to get out of the heat and to the water inside. I stared a new team on Sunday and the wife lets them out around noon and at 5:30 when I get home they are trapped and sitting on a perch not a bird left out and I'm good to go for the release of an older team. Ok Mark, here you go, I go through this every Summer, fly them in the later afternoon, once they land let them rest 5 minutes until they quit panting, then flag them back up, it is like they get a second wind and many times will fly 30 min or so, if they just land else where then you will create problems like Keven mentioned.
This is how I do it with "my" pigeons, and I also get young kits doing the same when it isn't hot either, same thing flag them up, it is all part of training, you have to use common sence also though,if they are rushing in the trap they are just plain hungry, and too hot is just too hot.
