have n e one had a hen or a coc over feed there squab i went into the loft today and it was food stuffed in its mouth that was about 4 pm now here it is 5 hours later and it still have food in its mouth not only that but its starting to walk around and it walked right into open air to the floor i can only assume it hit hard its a nice little drop to the floor for a bird with no feathers

I HAD A SQUAB EARLIER THIS YEAR THAT WAS BORN DEFORMED ANDALL THE FOOD WOULD STAY IN THE THROUGHT SO I HAD DO WAT I THOUGHT WAS RIGHT.PISTO

well the squab died overnight it coulndt to much food in its throat i tried to get some out but i couldnt get all of it

The parents just open their crops and kinda pump it to the squab. I dont think they could or would choke a chick. He is able to pull away at anytime. Must be something else going on there buddy. Check for canker in your breeder loft.

i dont have that in the loft i just medicated the loft maybe a week or 2 ago when i picked the squab up he had a pack of food stuck in the side of his throat

thanks for the help im not saying ur wrong irespect u guys opinion u all have been very helpful to me on this forum so buy no means am i saying ur wrong i just dont understand if i just had them on 4 and 1 for a week how could it be that but what eva the cause maybe you live and u learn

In my loft at least I try to not medicate the breeders while they are feeding young, I will try and do such if needed when they are just sitting on eggs. Sometimes the medication will have a ill affect on the young birds.
