i just purchased some rollers cud someone tell me something about them!! i will post pictures sometime this week... but these are the band numbers one is a mottle brown or red hen with an orange band 2007 csra the next bird is an almond color cock it only has a lite purple band no numbers the next roller i another red brown mottle hen but this one has a black band a npa rf 745 2008 the next roller is a hen a black one with w flights and an orange band 2007 CSRA on it.... the man that sold me the rollers said they wer plona and he askd me for 300 but i told him i only had 250 and he said ok... so i got them. is that a good price for plona??? ohhh i almost forgot i i meet the man at a feed store on siera hwy!! he seen me buy pigeon food and it was a done deal from there... lol my brother said they arnt plona? so cud any one lett me know by the bands?? or something.

Maybe you got SCAM buddy. NEVER meet a guy at some place. The man should always invite you to his house and fly his birds for you to see before you buy his stuff.
I bought birds before, just like you did when I was a kid. I was SCAM. He told me that they were Jerry Higgin stuff but they were just birds from the pet shop. Just because they have bands and stuff doesn't mean that they are necessarily good. Plus, the guy is selling you 07 & 08 birds for way too much.
I think Hector Coya have Plona birds too, I'm not sure.

Thats quite a lot of money for birds that you don't even know if they are proven flyers and performers. I remember getting scamed when i first started out. I purchased a cock bird for one hundred dollars, until this day I still remember the band RRPA 283 01. It never rolled, come to be it was a roller looking pigeon with Royal Racing Pigeon Association band on it. It's better to go see what the bird can do before you spend buka bucks on it.

Rollingline33, I will say this once and I hope I do not sound to rough NEVER buy birds that you have not seen with your own eyes perform! Try to find a respectable FLYER that has a proven stock that can maybe sell you a few birds to get you started and headed in the right direction, on a personal note I gave away a lot of money to a couple of guys that always talked about having the best birds in the area that some how never flew (It was a expensive lesson)LOL. To give you some insight most of the birds would swell their heads,roll blood to their eyes, would not kit, would not fly, and the best of all they would roll down but they were fast!

Now seriously Sal is right.. never buy birds from anyone especially that price without seeing those birds fly a couple of times or 4 times.. even if you do see them fly it might be his cull team they roll well together they kit well together you even will see the hole when rolling in one of them but that don't mean jack all junk birds somehow fly well together I know i have five culls out birds they can roll fast tight stop like hitting a wall but shoot away from the team when flown .out birds..now when put together with the other culls you wouldn't know the difference they kit well together its funny. so your beat advise is know the person is he honest a man of his words ask around .he might be a cull too..alot of those around too ,people cull i call them..be careful and don't worry if it was a bad deal only you would know ..learn from it and you got something good out of something bad. a lesson learn.. take care..oh by the way the same way you came in here and ask about them birds feel free to ask before you make choices like the one you made.if he can't wait until you get back to him he is up to no good.. thats what we here for to help out our fellow bird man..

dont let these dudes discourage you just hope they give you joy in flying them u can go to the top dudes houses and not like the results depending on what level you on bro

thanx 4korner on your words they made me want to hang in with my rollers till the wings fall off!! but i was looking at the bands on the birdS and they say CSRA THEN I NOTICED THERS A MEMBER WITH THE SAME NAME ON THE BANDS AS THE BIRDS I GOT FROM THIS MAN LOOK ALLOT LIKE CSRAS BIRD ON HIS PROFILE IT SAYS IF IM NOT WRONG THAT HIS WORKING ON HIS LINE THAT HE STARTED WITH HIS FRIEND SAL AND I SEEN HIS BIRDS ON HIS PROFILE PICTURES TOO THEY AND THEY LOOK ALMOST AS GOOD AS THEIR BIRDS AND I SEEN THE BIRDS I PURCHASED FROM THIS MAN ROLL SO I KNOW THEY ARE GOOD!!I ALWAYS FLY WATT I BUY NO MATTER WATT!! don't let the smooth taste fool you. some bird men here in south los angeles start raising rollers and stop for some reasons.times get hard or an unexpected issue come about. when i purchase feed and supplys at the local pet shops guys sale birds the ease & quickest way .most of the time
they be diamomnds in the rough.in 2000 i was getting back
in to rollers.the local feed place i shop at had some nice birds. a friend of mines call me up one day and said bigbull man i got some nice birds today from the old spot we use to get our rollers from on florence blvd.back then
it was alot of good bloodline floating around at that time. don't let the smooth taste fool you.

THANXS GUYS!! RALPH I FLEW THEM AFTER I GOT THEM AND THEY ROLL GOOOOOD!! I ROLLED THE 4 OF THEM 2GETHER ONE AT A TIME AND THEY ROLLED NICE!! SOME GOOD BIRDS!! 4 FOR 250 IN SO CAL NOT BAD IM GOING TO BREED THEM AND FLY THE KIDS HARD!!!! AND I WILL LETT YOU GUYS KNOW WUTTS UP!!! Rollingline33 I am sory to inform you that we the members of CSRA will not send you any information on the birds that you are inquiring about. The reason is the original owner lost those birds in an overfly and we do not believe your statement on how you came about getting them in your possesion.
As the Flight Chairman of CSRA I hope you enjoy the bird's.

hey alton its ok if you dont belive me... i purchased the birds if i wouldnt have puchased them then i wouldnt have askd for info i would have flown them all year long!! but 250 is 250 bucks , gas is expensive and everything else too!! but its cool!! i aint mad at you!! alton!! mike said your a good guy too.. but if you need info on the guy who sold me the birds im so sure the owner of the feed store cud help you out if you dont belive me.. the guy buys horse feed and a bunch of meds... if your mad about it lett me know on a saturday and will go ther and will ask about the guy..

Rollingline33 as I stated before the original owner lost the birds in an overfly so you could understand why he is not willing to give up any info.
Just like you are not willing to give up the persons name in which you required the birds from. The birds are your's now and we hope they work good for you!

well im sorry for the original owner i dont know watt to say we all lose birds from time to time but if i would have found the birds i would have posted them on the site as found birds !! but i did puchased the birds.. and i hope your not mad at some one that purchased some birds from some one at a feed store!! i wish i was rich so i cud just give the birds back to the owner but 250 now adays is a lot of money...thanx for everything alton!! peace.
