I just got a bunch of Thibodeaux's and they are a Jac cross. He has had that family of crosses since 1984 (I think it was). They are made of Jaconettes; Joe Roe; and Taylor. Taylor was just added recently to increase depth. I will be flying them next spring (the off spring of this group). ---------- Just My Take On Things

Nick, OK, so you got some Thibodeaux Crosses. Good work! Do you think your birds can get any, more or less pure, than they are right now? Or is that any concern of yours? Are you more interested in performance than beak length, or eye line, or keel depth. What about the oil gland? Do any of those things take precedent over performance?
Oh, by the way, you mentioned Joe Roe. He was the first to win the World Cup with Indigo birds in his kit in the 90's. He quit the hobby over the crap he got about flying color birds. Hmmmmmmmm.I wonder which of JOe's birds Audrey used for his crosses?.....Do you think he cared about the color or was only interested in crossing in good performance? And I wonder if, back in the 90s, they knew how to identify the indigo factor, which cannot be seen well in the ash red series?.......Better look out, NIck.....if you breed to spread black you might have an Andalusian pop out! LOL! You WOULD tell us if that happened wouldn't you Nick?.... Right?.......Sure you would!!!! LOL! Cliff

Nick, Really, though, Indigo or know Indigo, Aubrey and his family of rollers have been among the leaders in the South for a long time. I wish you the best with them. Keep us posted...and read my article on "Committment" in the May-June NBRC Bulletin. It might fit..... Cliff
