Do you mean their legs are spread apart? If that is the case, make sure there is enough nesting material in the nest and the bottom of the nest isn't slippery. They may not be getting a good grip on the bottom. If you tie their legs together a few days while they are still in the nest it will be cured usually. ---------- Kel. Hey Mario, 5 things come to mind about the problem you describe:
1 - Not sufficient nesting material 2 - Only 1 youngster in the nest 3 - Parent setting too heavy on young 4 - Bowl too wide 5 - Combination of one or more
Disease is not going to cause a splayed leg. It will be one or more of the above.
You will have to watch the problem pair/s and make the necessary adjustments. ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

I had one do this a few weeks ago. It was on the ground and got into the feed bowl. It couldnt get a foothold in the loose feed and became straddle legged. I put a snap-on band on each leg and tied them together using a string and allowed about a fingers width of slack between the legs so they were straight. Stuck him back in the nest for 3 full days and then took the string off. He is as good as new now!
Good luck and welcome to the site! ---------- Val
