this is the problem and I was wondering if it's going to be okay...and are the foster parents still be able to produce crop milk for it? I had a pair of eggs that I got from a friend and he said that it was about a week old. so i got a foster pair around a week and one day old and I switch them. The foster parents egg's are suppose to hatch on the 6th of august. But now the eggs that I got from a friend hatch today july 29th. so their about eight days different. these are the eggs that i want to hatch and survive what will happen and is it going to be okay? advice? thanks guys

How long were the eggs under the foster pair?If they had them under them a week or more pipping and making movement inside the eggs, the fosters may have produced the milk in their crop in time. All you can do now is wait and see.Good luck. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

If you really want to keep them alive,I would grind up some pigeon pellets or even chicken pellets if you don't have pigeon ones and mix it with warm water then suck it into one of those plastic tipped syringes.Hold the squab very carefully and then by it's bottom beak hold that and open the beak up and stick the syringe in it's mouth far enough to make sure it doesn't all run out.The little guy should swallow it and want more till you fill the crop.Be careful not to fill it too much but you will see it getting fat.Be real gentle. ---------- Kel.
