This sounds like avian pox. If it is, it is caused by a virus, and there is no medicine for it. You can, however, help your birds overcome this by making sure they are eating and drinking well on their own and by dabbing a drying agent such as diluted Betadine on the "bumps" until they dry up and fall off. Pox is quite contagious in a loft/flock situation, so you may see more birds start showing signs of it.
Many racing pigeon fanciers vaccinate for pox, and if it is prevalent in your area, you might want to consider doing that in the future. Birds get pox by being bitten by a mosquito that is carrying the virus and it is then further spread by shared food/water.
In my experience, pigeons can and do survive pox very well with a little help from their humans.

One of my birds had the pox and i quickly separated it form the team.couple had it but i save them. their was one who had it under its wings too and i took take of it but he could never reuse that wing again. so now i will use it to foster when times its due..what I did notice is I purchase this product from Tony site call Permectrin and I spray that around the kit box and gave my birds bath with it and i notice no more Mosquitoes around or spiders, lice, mites.so you might want to give that a try or vaccinate.which ever is your choice.. good luck anyway.. ---------- Ralph

Air, This sounds like pigeon pox. It does not hurt the birds. You will notice only the squeakers and young birds get it. The adults had it before and the mosquitoes bite them and then bite the young and it spreads. It is harmless to the birds. It looks ugly for a while, all these bumps and legions but the will eventually dry up and fall off on their own. Do not scrape them or remove the pigeon pox, it is like a scab on your arm and will fall off on its own. They will be immune to it as an adult but will be carriers. I ususally get a frw squeakers in the fall If I still have any in the nest at that time and they all survive with out any medication. In fact there is no medication that will cure it. THere is a Pox vacine for adults and you could vaccinate all your birds but why bother since it does hurt them. You would have to do it every year anyway. I would not give them 4 in 1 for pox that is taking medicine when you don't need it. Canker is in the mouth and throat. I would not even seperate them as it will not change anything in your loft one way or another since mosquitoes spread it. Hope this helps ease your mind. Bill C
