Ors are an ancient breed.Alot of performing breeds have OR blood in them way back.I you want a bird that flys and rolls like a BR and to compete under BR rules get a BR.A OR wouldn't score well if judged by BR fly rules.ORs ( if you get them from good flying lines) can really put on a show.Flips, rolls, tumbles, dives, plate spins and dare I say it the dreaded twizzle! Some of the families produce some very deep rollers as well. Most of the families fly quite a bit higher than BRs.To each his own.I don't fly competition and like high flying deep rolling birds,so I fly I German line of ORs.From what I've seen from all the birds I've flown(BRs,flying flights,Doneks,Iranian highfliers) Ors are better at getting away from the hawks where I fly. They don't get away all the time, but the percentage is way better.I love to watch a good kit of BRs go,but I like the ORs better.Watch both fly and fly what you like better.Just don't expect an OR to fly like a BR.They are both the best at what they do.How would Jordan do in the ring with Tyson? Awesome athletes, but each at their own game.

And most Flying Oriental Rollers don't get eaten by the BOP. They can out manuver them. Can't say the for the B/ham's ---------- Fly High and Roll On Paul

Sure, some of 'em can for quite some time, some are smarter for sure. But if you have resident BOP,most get ripped eventually, face it.My strategy is to have breeds that CAN play it safe, and that discourages the SOBs somewhat. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts
