I waited to long to band one of my best pairs squabs (about the 13 or 14th day). The squab is a muff..anyway of banding the bird without messing his pin feathers up?

You can cut the feathers off..

you can cut the band,but it will take two poeple to put it on.

You can buy numbered split bands if you are interested in just keeping the information. I use them for some I miss occasionally. I also bought larger bands and have had to use them when I miscalculated how long to wait.

metal bands cut real simple. bend back in place

In the roller world,performing birds,the odd one not banded is no problem.
