I fly portable. I put my birds in the kit box at about four weeks before they can fly well. When I fly the kits I set the young on the landing board after three days of being fed when kits are flying. They will trap either right back in the box or look around and then trap. After two or three times trapping they will want to stay out and sometimes fly up to the roof. At this point they will try to get on the ground but I dont let them get any where but the landing board and the roof. After two or three days of that when I open the door they start to fly some and will go up with the kit in a week or less.

Wa la! kit bird

Never fly from the same place two days in a row or they will home to it.
