I was just wondering if anyone out there have gone through a situation where you have to get a license or permit or something in order to keep your pigeons? If so, where can you purchase it or even if such a thing even exists? If anyone can help that would just be awesome. By the way I'm just wondering because I'm planning to raise pigeons in the city.
Thanks.

Certain countys and states have regulations on keeping birds. Some places dont allow birds at all. Other places you gotta keep the loft like 15 feet away from any neighbors and etc...
Im not 100% sure of where you exactly gotta go but I think its the town hall or something??

two choices, check with the town hall about the zoning and get a building permit that says "pigeon loft " on it OR build a small loft out of sight, keep it clean and be quiet about it and take your chances. I've been doing option 2 for about 20 years!

you might try talking to some people at a local feed store also. If they tell ya you cant do it and you still want to, well, dont go to anyone official. take Steves advise. keep it nice and clean. This is why I refuse to live in a city environment. Too many busy bodies with their nose in your butt, trying to tell ya what you should, or shouldnt have to eat. Yea make sure you can get along with your neighbors and be friendly with them so they don't call the 5-0 on you.
