I found a site that lista known pigeon and dove hybrids. I tseems that most of the hybridization took place a long time ago.. like around Darwin's time more or less... and it took place mainly in England... Correct me if I'm wrong.

Known Dove/Pigeon Hybrids

This is indeed Darwin's theory of evolution. Them doves have some incredible markings on them. They really resemble modern days pigeon with those blue bars intacted, but doves are more exotic. I like these pictures.

Robert,
You may be in the Los Angeles area. The Spotted Dove was introduced here from Southeast Asia. I think fron the Phillipines.

Steve, when I was a kid a lot of people I knew had pigeons. Most of us wanted pretty birds. I read every pigeon book I could get at the library, and I thought the Victoria Crowned Pigeon was the one I wanted. I thought it looked cool.
Luckily I seen the light. Now I just want pigeons that roll. Birmingham Rollers are cool. LOL
