As long as they are young birds I would not worry about it.
Older birds, It usually happens when you feed them to much or your birds do not have enough roll in them..LOL

Wing clapping and tail setting is a trait that not all lines carry. Could be just the training but at my house I rarely see a bird tail set or clap its wings. When my birds come into the roll they start fast snappy flips that if the bird is going to develope ito a good bird it will quickly move to the short fast 5 footers and gradually move up from there. I have not seen any birds in my family that will start slow and get faster as they mature. Could be a family trait but is definately something that I see regularly in my birds. Joe

the only time I have wing clapping going on is with older (9 month plus) cocks that are over fed and under flown. I think they're showing off for a potential mate. They also start getting kinda randy along with clapping behavior. It doesnt bother me when it happens, but I view it as an indicator that the team needs something different.

I get about 50% tail sitters in young birds. I kept records for a cpl yrs to see if depth of tail ride correlated with depth of roll at maturiy. I couldnt determine any relationship, Too many variables.
