A Handful of Twenty Mule Team Borax and very warm water. Loose feathers will fall. Body molt starts with fifth primary flight drop. Bath pan is hog pan or oil drip pan, holds about two gallon. observe and learn. Watch for blood quills if acting strange,ie. not wanting to fly,down early.

nothing like good common sense Tapp. a good suggestion if someone tries it. I bet they dont care.In about a half hour both pans will be about the same temp. you`ll probably have birds in both pans.

You guys are hilarious.
We have nothing but warm (hot!) water this time of year and I love my pijees, but I ain't carrying ice cubes out there!

And we have nothing but cold up here.. lol seriously.. the water that comes out of the hose is about 50-60 F.
