Thanks to Rudy I got a few Out Crosses! One Breeder Cock and three young birds. In Turn he got a hen & cock from my breed loft and two young birds. I have been breeding my birds for 20 some odd years with no out crosses. I am hoping these birds work out for me.

I got my birds from a guy by the name of Rex Hass
The blood lines are from Jaconette, Espinosa, Schreider,
Ray Perkins, J Leroy smith,
Here in West Texas there is not a lot of Roller people
Just me, Then Rudy came along about 5 years ago......
I am 100% guilty of breeding only the best, Oh shi****
spinners, Deep, tight and fast, Thats the rule.
My gene pool is a little tight now, I got 4 week old squeakers with only a few feathers, but they feather out OK by 8 weeks,,, Some of the old birds that spin there eyes out of there sockets, Cocks and hens that spin there
guts out there rectum,,,,, But trust me NONE make it to the bread loft with out LOTS of oh My god!!!!!!!!!!!!! spins,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yea, Richard Espinoza, Thats him,, I have misplaced my original pedigrees, That blood line went back almost 35 years ago,,,Or more....
I called my birds Rez Hass birds until all the original breeders died out,,, Now there just MY BIRDS,,,,,,
But now I got the Rudy blood line coming in, But there not Rudy's birds yet, He got them from someone else...
This gets complicated,,, LOL,,,,

Well, I was thinking that this was a mighty 'tame' hobby for the folks who posted that they loved to race across the desert, skydive, race bikes, cars, and other adrenaline rushing sports, but after reading Mike's post, I seeeeeee the attraction . . . Gulp! I hope my heart is strong enough for the action. LOL

Mike, unless the original breeder is not telling you how to put them together, to me those are your birds..JMHO.

iride,
Rex Haas and I both got our first good rollers from Richard Jaconette back about 1982 if I recall correctly. We raised birds together from back in grade school days and he is my lifelong friend to this day. He will be proud you are still breeding from part of the line of birds you got from him.

Mike, Yeah that's me. Rex and I started together back in grade school. He actually sold me my very first rollers. They were world class birds too and cost a whopping .75 cents each!!! I know that's a lot of money but for the quality, it was worth it, LOL. We had a bunch of fun though way back then.

Yeah, I still have my rollers. Rex just brought me a few youngsters last weekend. He's getting out of birds for a while and do some traveling to see family and such.

Hey Rudy, good to hear from you amigo. Are you still flying your Jacs then? I sure do like the old line Jac stuff. I am presently flying some Starley, Easely and Turner birds. Would love to get my hands on a couple of the old Jac hens though to play with.
