I'll send my entry fee and money this weekend!
Good luck region 5! Lets round up some more flyers! I think that I will have 2 maybe 3 more flyers that will be ready to compete by the time the WC gets here in the spring. If they get through shark season with out too many losses, they should have enough birds by then!
I'm always on the hunt for new blood!

Just met a guy on the phone that lives in Oklahoma City. He(Peter Alexander) is a new member in the NBRC, but an old flyer just getting back in to rollers! Not sure of all the details yet, but he is originally from Cali and used to be a member of the PRC. He flies PRC birds also! He is an older gentleman and seemed pretty knowledgable of rollers. He definatly wants to compete, but will be spring before he has enough birds! Peter said he would join our state club and I asked him to check out our site here when he got a chance! Guess his wife is really fascinated with the rollers also. Sounds like a nice couple!
I also contacted another guy tonight from Purcell Ok., but he has lung problems and has to keep a small operation. I think he will join the state club and hopefully can coax him up from there!
There is about another 8-10 guys names that I don't recognize in the NBRC mag. but I am going to contact them all and try to get them all active!
Come on Region 5, lets make a run at picking up some new flyers and see if we get our #s up!
I told them that we had a great RD and he wouldn't let us down. Pressures on Nick! LOL

Pete Alexander I have emailed all of the entry stuff to along with other info. I hope he is getting them. If people don't respond back I never know. The only guide I got is that I get no message failure notices. I am just assuming they are getting them.

I sent in the money for one 11 bird kit today i don't have many more than that to fly...I just started less than a year ago they don't do real good but it will help with numbers.

Hey Mark,
The way it is going now it appears that we will NOT have an eleven bird kit competition. We would need 10 fliers to gain one qualifier. You are only the second flier to request an 11 Bird fly.
If the number of birds is the problem I recommend putting atleast 16 birds and flying the 20 bird competition.
Sorry about the 11 Bird Comp. I will try to cook up some interest in it in the year or years to come.

Hey spinninjenny, no, I will be on fall lock down. It's usually been my policy to lock my birds down late September or early October. No use tempting fate by flying birds everyday when it comes to the bop. My fly of choice is the World Cup.

I want to make a special note about Mark Wilson. He has just got started in rollers and doesn't have enough birds for a 20 bird team and yet he is stepping forward and flying. This is the the "WAR ROOM MAPS" for Region 5.
Fliers will be plotted by map pins so I can plan the routes that will get us wrapped up in an orderly fashion. Those empty walls in the garage came in handy. I will be using my GPS to plan the routes.....I have fallen in love with the woman in my GPS.
