i was watching my birds today and one of my hens mounted its mate and did the dam thing is this normal----------

I believe so...cuz the same thing happened wit my cuzin's birds..after mating the female mounted the male..wonder why they do this??

It is quite common. The only problem comes when a really dominant hen and a passive cock and she will always want to top him. I had a pair like that this year and had to split them up because I was getting no fertile eggs. I put her with a young aggressive cock and turn the tables on her.

honestly i just threw out there second round yesterday due to not being fertile but there first round was good to go

Yes, they take turns sometimes. He will mount her and when it is concluded; she will mount him until concluded. Then they will strut around together like they just did a great thing.
