The 2008 NBRC Convention in Texas is approaching very fast… and will be here before you know it. I want to encourage all who might be on the fence to jump off and join us. I have attended the last 2 conventions myself. Leading up to both of them I had a million things going on and flirted with the idea of canceling and staying home. Everyone has responsibilities and duties… but they will all be there when you return. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 2 conventions and I am very glad that I made the commitment to attend them both. We all hope that you will make the decision to attend this year’s convention as well!
For everyone who is coming for sure… I need your help with Registration and Reservation information PLEASE! Although the registrations are trickling in, I know there is a lot who for one reason or another still have not sent in your registration information and we really need this information to properly prepare for this event. I have been reviewing the reservation list at the Marriott and have noticed that there are several people who already have their rooms reserved, but have not registered with us (NBRC) yet. The registration form that is in your NBRC bulletin is the best way to register! It has options for you to reserve your spot at both dinners (Thursday and Saturday) and your seat on the bus both Friday and Saturday. Having actual head counts allows us to order and prepare accurate amounts of food for these dinners and also ensures we have enough buses to transport everyone to the events that are scheduled. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you get us this information as requested… ASAP. The form in the bulletin also has a place on the back side for you to reserve tee shirts and caps which also allows us to plan and purchase enough shirts and hats for everyone without the fear of over purchasing. I am trying to contact everyone who missed the information on the back… but forward me that info ASAP if you in fact happened to over look that portion of the registration. After completing both sides of the Registration/Reservation out of the NBRC bullitin please mail it to me at the address listed on the form (and also listed below for your convenience) no later than September 15th. If you choose to contact me by email or cell phone (if need be), please understand that I need clarification on the 6 options mentioned above… and the size of your tee shirt/shirts you are reserving. I will tell you… the shirts look very nice and you are going to want one for sure!
Speaking of reservations… The Marriott is garenteeing the very low rate of $85 per night through October 2nd. This is a first class hotel with 27 million spent on renovations and expansions just last year. The standard room rates have been greatly reduced for this convention, so please do not miss the deadline to make your reservations!!! Rooms reserved after Oct. 2nd will not get the $85 per night rate. All of the hotel information for the Mariott is of course in your NBRC bullitin; however for your convenience here is the info for the Marriott:

The NBRC has reserved at the Brand New Dallas/Fort Worth Mariott Solana
a limited number of rooms for the Convention for $85.00 per night, this
reserved rate will only continue til 10/02/08. The rate will then rise
to $199.00 per night. A tremendous amount of work and effort has been
done to make this the best Convention ever and we look forward to
seeing you there. The Phone for reservations is 1-800-228-9290, make
sure to mention you are with the NBRC to get this special rate at a 5
Star facility. It's time to make your reservations now.
