Hey I was at superstore and saw flax seed (from the bins) for 0.24 cents/100 grams. So I bought a kilogram of it for the birds. Is this stuff healthy for them? Can I give it to them? I have never bought seed for them from a place like this, only organic seeds from organic stores.. lol How much should I give?
---------- Thanks, Andrew

Andrew, Flax seed is very high in fat.something like 35%. Good to add a little for the moult but I wouldn't go crazy with it.

Flax seed is very laxitive therefore dont feed heavy. It is also great to put sheen or gloss on the feathers for show purposes. Ray Sanchez. ---------- "Crystal Palace Roller Lofts" _______(Ray Sanchez)_______
