I'm fond of 743 Dark check Hen myself but..I think Pensom stated this about 743.. "Best young hen produced in the country". The country part meant... England not the USA.

Scott is telling the truth... I beleive pensom used 5503 from England on 119 to loosen the blood a bit by the way scott our Norwood family from Urc 68 2524 is heavy 514 and it'shot not stiff 2524 sir is nbrc 67 2564=119-6030 Dam nbrc 67 65sire 3757&220 heavy inbreed.
