One of my new bird I got a couple weeks ago has a strange looking thing growing between its legs. It looks hard and crusty. Any idea what it might be??

Canker is what it could be, canker shows up at the navel and the mouth and beak areas. Hope I helped you. JDA

Well its not near the mouth or anything its towards the birds anus. Its probably like 1/2 inch long it seems or so and like sticking out...

is it kinda whitish crusty? because i think some how like those are made of external lice...i remember mines having those white crusty things around the anal and its full of lice...also new birds usally has it...take a pic of it...

Thats canker you should give it some spartrix its shoukd do the trick bro be patient it wont disapear form one day to another.
