I had birds lay eggs on September 1 and 2. I have them eggs under foster pairs right now. They will hatch by about the 20th, my question is, Will the babies be ready and on their own by November 7/8 so I can show the parents at a show on this date?
2nd question. I hear people give their birds apple cider vinegar. Are they talking about Heinz apple cider vinegar from like safeway and stuff like that because I just bought a 4 liter bottle of Heinze from their and I'm not sure if this is the right stuff or how much I am suppose to put in?

You have more than enough time kopetsa babys should be ready to be on there own by october 20th a month after they hatch good luck in the show. Edgar

Andrew if they hatch on the 20th of September they will be fine by the first of November.
The Apple Cider vinegar you buy in the grocery store is the correct kind. I put a tablespoon full per gallon others may put more or less but you have the right stuff.

Oh ok thanks a lot! Would you be able to tell me what the following are actually used for:
Apple Cider Vinegar
Electrolites (boosts Vitamin B)
Brewers Yeast
ACID-PAK 4-WAY 2X - Probiotic-enhanced water acidifier for pigeons (Acidifiers, Enzymes, Electrolites, and Lactic Acid Bacteria)
I bought all these, I have an idea what they're for, but I'm not 100% sure?

Hey copesta for one thing dont show your breeders and dont breed your show birds until after show season because your asking for sickness in your loft and diseases etc its not good man take my advice i have learned the hard way

You have to use the ACV from a health food store or get it from Tony on this site. The kind you get at the grocery store doesn't contain the "mother" ingredient. That is what I have been told anyway. Just trying to help--------Bob

I use the ACV with "mothers"! It is loaded with minerals that will help even more with the health of your birds.
I drink it myself and it has improved my health! Blood pressure, arthritis, allergies, stomach problems, ect. ect.
JMO though!

An old Marine Gunny gave me this mix years ago, he called it his daily "Mokus!"
Mokus
1 TBS Honey (unfiltered local if available)
1 TBS ACV Apple Cider Vinegar - with the Mother
1 tsp fresh squeezed Lemon juice
1/16 tsp Cheyenne pepper
8 oz hot water
Put all the ingredients into a mug, pour the hot water slowly, place a saucer over the mug and let the "Mokus" steep a little while before drinking,
take your time!
Enjoy!!!!!!
