well... it would be a little time consuming but if you have anouther pair with only 1 young , you can put the baby under anouther pair. Or you can just pull out the bigger young a couple times a week, just before feeding time. Soon as you feed the parents will eat and then go feed the babies. anouther option is to hand feed the little one every day. Most pet stores sell a baby bird powder feed mix. It works well . I`ve done this a couple times also and it does work. I`ve never had one lay 3 eggs though. ---------- Butch @ Sundance Roller Lofts

If you grind pigeon pellets up in the coffee grinder and mix it with warm water and suck it into a plastic tipped syringe then feed the squab up with that, should help him to gain some weight. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

When I have one that is way bigger and I have no foster to give it to I put in in my pocket or bucket while I feed up This way the small one gets fed well and then I put the bigger one back in the nest.

When I have had multiple hatchings, I have mixed and matched according to size from two different nest. Put the larger baby with one in comparable size and the littler ones together.
It almost always screws up my records though, cause I can't remember which was which. LOL
Next year, I'm going to try feeding my breeders pellets only. Rumor has it, that there will be a lot less size differnce in the squabs.
On grain feeding, the parents will eat the choice seeds first and then the more agressive squab (larger one) will get the best feed and outgrow the other. ---------- Val

Is it ok to give my kit birds straight wheat only?? I purchased a 50lbs bag yesterday I still have about 20lbs of the mixed pigeon food. I just filled the remaining 5gal bucket up with the straight wheat and mixed it up. I hear wheat and Milo is good for them
