Hey I wish i had a bird rolling three times a minute..keep an eye on it and see they rolling straight and true.see which one rolls and comes to a complete stop and facing the rest of the team and going straight back to it.look for quality. do they roll from the back or the front or middle of the team.these are things you look for and makes flying interesting,,.always learning ... ---------- Ralph

Be sure those birds eat well, if there tired and the other non working birds hog the feed then these birds can get weak on you. Keep a eye that they are eating as much or pull them out and feed them extra.

Hi Silent, the age of the birds and the diet can be, and probably are the factor. Also, are they from your regular family or from a cross? See what they eat most of when feeding. For instance if you're feeding a mix, do they go for the milo until it's gone, then turn to the other grains? Wheat first? review those things closely and see if there are any trends. Just my thoughts.

I had a couple of young birds doing this. They were just coming into the roll and they were hitting 5-10 rolls every few seconds. They would do this 4 or 5 times and then kit for a round or two and then start again. I seperated them and put them in the other two kitboxes to change their routine. They are doing much better the last couple of weeks. One is really doing well. Might make my A-team!
Instead of culling so hard this year with my young birds, I'm just trying differnt senarios with them. Cant remember the last time I culled one! Its been a good learning method for me!
Visit with other experienced flyers and see what they do to get through the bumps in the road we face training these young birds.. Try contacting some of these guys that you respect offline or in person and sometimes they will open up more than they do hear. ---------- Val
