I normally fly once a day, and on the weekend I fly twice . On weekdays I fly around 6PM its a bit cooler, then I call them in and feed 1 tea spoon a day per bird. On the week end I fly around 8am and 6pm feeding them twice . They have been trapping well with in 20 seconds after landing both morning and evening time..... but they just act like they are starving to death. Am I doing it right or are they just eager to get to the feed ? They fly for about 20 minutes each time and the performance is getting better but slowly.. how many times a day do I suppose to feed ? please help with your input .... STUDENT 2 THE GAME

Well birds sometimes good actors in playing the starvation part what you feed them is all they need not all they want.and they be just fine.now yours could be really starving because you are feeding 1 teaspoon instead of one tablespoon per birds one time per day and adjust from there. on the time that you are flying twice a day the amount that you stated 1 teaspoon and feeding them twice a day still equals 1 tablespoon.the good thing about that is that they are still getting the one tablespoon but in half and half ration. but you are doing well if they starting to perform and coming at the time you want .just give the tablespoon once a day and on days you fly twice half ration as you been doing since they are use to that and responding well and see what happens. sound like you getting a good handle on it..good luck..by the way what feed are you giving them..? ---------- Ralph

You can't maintain them on a tblspoon all the time they will need more like 1.75 tblspn 2 outta 3 feedings. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

You are flying once a day and twice on the weekend? The birds are flying the twenty min? Their performance in coming along?.... Dont change a thing right now. You are on the right track. As their performance increse you may need to adjust the feed a little.

Don't let the table spoon thing be it. Sometimes the birds require more and sometimes less. When it is gonna be a hot week or so, the birds require less feed and you should adhere to that, otherwise, you end up over feeding and flirting with overfly. When the weather starts to cool down, the birds require more feed so that they burn more energy and stay warm in those cold nights or you will be flirting with sick birds. Remember to adjust as you see fit. The birds will tell you by their behavior. Yes, sometimes they are great actors but sometimes they are telling you to correct your action.

well it seems to be working, like once i couldnt get home to feed on Friday so I just flew them on Saturday morning more rolling not to good on kitting close. A good show never the less but wild out of form, more of a free for all. If I miss a fly I will wait till the next time after feeding. Thanks : STUDENT 2 THE GAME
