Since I had lost touch with things over the years and want to do tihngs right this time. What Strain would you think's the best that I can get ahold of to start. I know of Pensom's but thats about it. But what Breeder would have the best to start with? These Ruby;s look darn good, just haven't seen any vids of them flying so I can see what they look like turining. I've seen some pics of a guy that has RK Rollers and a few more. Just wanting everyone's opinion is all so I can get started with some very good stock

Dondon - There is a thread with the same topic below titled "Many Strains of Rollers". Same type of question just phrased differently.

I agree with Thom, I don't think you can go wrong with Ruby's! I started with 4 pair a year ago and the young I raised off of them are putting on a show. ---------- "Semper Fi" SD

Don..
I have been flying the Ruby Rollers since 04. I am VERY happy with them and I do compete. To me it is the easiest way to get good birds with great genetics. Most top breeders do not sell birds and you have to snag them from lawn show auctions etc. I mean...I can get you a list of 20 strains...but the list will do you no good because the next step is getting the birds....some breeders will sell a couple rounds of sqeeks and that is it.
For example...I sell my first round no matter what and that is just what I do.....and I sell my last round if anybody is interested....then I split my breeders.....
As far as Ruby Rollers go...you get the genes of some of the top fliers in Southern Ca....Tony has had is strain for a long time....I fly them and they are good birds..easy to handle....and easy to get that is the good part. Lots of fliers have them on this site.
Look for the post a couple pages back that as Ruby Rollers....a guy asked how they fly....and asked for fly records...I posted mine....anyway
