How do you know its because of your big kitbox.I mean what made you come to that conclusion base on how long etc.It could be that they stop performing much due to the moult..

Me i personally prefer a small kitbox because they store more
energy this way by staying in a small confinement until let out to exercise.

Chewy, how big is your kitbox? I really doubt the size of the box is the problem. Moult, maybe. Did you change feed? Swap birds in the kit? Could be a lot of things. Are the BOPs bad, like hitting them a lot when they break?
P.S.
I prefer a small box. can you post a pic of your kitbox?

Mine is 4 feet high, 3 feet deep, and 3 feet wide. And I fly 11 to 15 out of them most of the time. I have a smaller box built for 11, but its 24 inches wide x 24 inches deep x 3 feet high. I`ve flown the same birds from both with no real difference in the roll.

Chewy how often are you flying them? Overflying them will make them go stiff also.

I like to keep young birds in large kitboxes and once mature and into the roll a smaller, darker box.

I agree with Tim, Chewy I think you need to tell us how old are the birds? If they are young birds you need to fly them every day and if they are older birds I would suggest you fly them every third day, this is what works for me. Good luck!

Chewy.......sounds like a good fly schedule. How much feed do they get?? Sounds like they might be alittle too fat...lol. Try cutting back on their feed too.
My kitboxes are 4X4X3, and I have 20 birds in each one. So yours sound like a good size. I wouldn't worry about that.

Chewy, mine are stiff also, it is just that time of year here, heat, molt, and high pressure shuts them down.

i prefer a smaller kit box w/ semi darkness and alot of ventalation.give them safflower and wheat w/ your milo it's low fat and safflower urges them to perform more.
