I see now that for the FF, I'm gonna have to practice this method for next year!
What are some of the ways to do this?

Val, Have you considered moving your breeding program to an earlier start? I plan on moving mine up to avoid the B.O.P., and gain in flying time with an earlier start.

I started in November last year, but it has just been a long summer. Still reaching 90 degrees here! Kinda odd, but its obvious that its gonna happen from time to time. ---------- Val

Val you can use the reduced light method. I will email it to you. I am going to do it next year myself. No point in trying to fly in the FF with birds in the shape mine are now. A sudden change in diet will help also. We used to do it to chickens all the time. I am going to go from my wheat/milo diet to scratch along with the reduced light. I plan to force moult in June with my A-team and put them back up in July and August to be ready to fly. I hope they dont moult twice.

After all World Cup events are over with I'll pull all flights and tail feathers from the #1 team. You then fly your #2 team for club flys etc. you will then still have time to whip the birds into shape in the #1 team before Fall Fly qualifying starts.
