Max I did not say that . I was told by a freind that he thinks BA Roller is Tony .
I asked him why he thinks that and he said he searched the whole site and cant find who BA Roller is.

Hey George, I can assure you and anyone else that am NOT this person, BA Rollers. I know this members name and even where he works.
He works in Orange County, CA. I'll let "Brian" tell you anything else he wants you to know...heck, I might even be willing to tell you myself if he doesn't. lol
Site traffic is fine, business is fine, I mostly just try to stay out of everybody's way at this point.

Cliff, I have not talked to a single person yet who is in agreement with your decision. And I've talked to or overheard quite a number of people's opinion on the matter. Most of the time they bring it up as it seems to be a contintious beef for some people. They like the choice for the person who he is, but most feel the overly generous scoring is killing the integrity of the hobby. You will be catching a ton of heat on this one, especially when those ridiculus 2,000 points scores are given out like candy canes at christmas...again. We can all do the soul searching integrity thing and be "nice guys". But ask yourself sincerely, does that type of judging, which clearly is the most liberal in the hobby, grow the sport in the right direction? You know it is not good for the hobby when the general concensus throughout the conversation channels is....if you make the finals....just set them up to roll hot and all over the place and you will do well. That's sad man.
There you go Tony I think Brian wanted another judge for the Fall Fly.

You can tell a lot by the way a person writes. Those who have been on this site for years could tell if I was somebody else by my writing style. Although BA is a fire writer....Tony has a writing style that is his own. BA roller and Tony don't have the same writing style....

I certainly haven't, and if memory serves me correctly, have sided with you many times in the past six months, disagreeing with you none at all.
Again I ask you, how does posting opinions on your site hurt you? I haven't said one bad thing about you or your site, yet I am still a criminal.
I haven't done anything to warrant apologizing for. You made a comment about four months ago when people wanted me back here that you would only if I apologized. Apologize for what? You kicking a bunch of us off your site? I have to apologize for that? Come on....lol.

My beef is that you simply said "interesting" in your above post, you did not correct the misperception being put out there by the original post to this thread when you had a chance to. You allowed the perception to remain.
You are wrong on this, and now why try to justify yourself? Just apologize and we can move on and discuss the merits of your post about the judging.

This is an unnecessary fight that you are picking with Brian. He has done nothing to apologize for. He did not start the rumor, and he did not start this thread. If you want to blame someone for misleading the forum in this thread, blame yourself, you could have posted the truth before Brian wrote his post, or very soon after, instead of waiting to see if Brian would come clean.

I will try to explain where I am coming from...
The only free speech anyone has is for the US government to not ban freedom of speech. Look it up.
The limits of speech on this site and other privately owned sites are typically set by the stake holders. This site is not a free for all. I know some internet newbies think that it is.
I have been pretty liberal in allowing a wide array of discussion on many various topics. I guess I have to draw some kind of line when the "rumor" or "gossip" I know to be false is presented for comment (especially when its regarding me! LOL).
I feel like the guy, through his response, took a rather "ho-hum" position and in doing so, did nothing to refute or dispel the rumor, thus encouraging it.
In my personal opinion, I, not he has more to lose through a scurrilous rumor about me creating controversy to try to increase traffic.
I run my business with as much integrity as I can muster and when someone slights that, I feel the need to respond to protect my reputation and the trust of the hundreds of customers who entrust RPDC for supplys and Ruby Rollers.
I have been running this website since 2004...we are soon approaching our 6 year in operation. I think by now I know something about how to increase quality traffic without creating controversy. ;-)

I made my post as soon as I saw it.
Dave, do me a favor, go back and pick up on the tone of my posts, they were for the most part neutral and asking about the matter in a fairly friendly way. I shared my thoughts on the matter. He took it personal.

Man the more I think of this the more It is upsetting...it is like blood in the water time to have a feeding frenzy...if someone cant see that not saying who you are is important...there is something wrong.....the joke would have been funny if it was ANYBODY but Tony...it was not about pretending it was the words TRYING TO DRUM UP MORE TRAFFIC>>>that my friend is what made my hair stand up...I actually almost called Tony to ask him....because I was going to tell him to pound sand if he was...but knowing Tony on a personal basis and know that he is one of the most honest religious people I know......then i said...someone made a mistake...then I read the past posts and I could see it was not Tonys writing style.
But when someone does not think a joke is funny anymore you back off...you are taught that in 1st grade...one one thinks is funny another may find offensive.....trust me I am the king of jokes and a fun guy to hang with....but I could see that Tony felt like his integrity was being questioned and to most men that means alot.... integrity is doing something right when nobody is looking...and that is Tony and Firefighters live and die by that....so it is very meaningful to me........and again....I think this got out of hand and Tony was just wanting somebody to show him the respect he deserves and say...No man it is me....ROCK ON ....but no...had to draw it on....and some adventures never see the end of the journey......

No...prob..Tony was just trying to prove a point that a rumor although untrue can be looked at as bad....that is why he said..that....and know I don't slap the ladies..my dad would whoop my ass if I did that. I was raised to treat a lady like a lady...period....again Tony was proving a point and he knows me well enough to know what he was trying to do.
If I slapped the woman...I would not have my kids half the time that is for sure...lol...when you met me...you met the real me...there is no smoke and mirrors with me brother....I was raised in a small town and my word is as strong as oak and I live and die by honesty and integrity...so...no worries.....
