The United States Marine Core military service can help make boys into men and girls into ladies. The trainning consists of disapline and respect for others. The combat trainning is hard but very benificial in protecting yourself and country. A Marine has a rifle in his or her possesion the duration enlisted in service. I ttok my basic trainning in San Dieago and advance trainning in Camp Penelton Then shipped to Japan and back to the USA before being discharged with an Honorble Discharge. The infantry trainning and military police trainning has been benificial in my life. Semper Fi to all my Marine Core friends. The pigeon hobby will be waiting for you after you spend your service time. Good luck! FRS ---------- "Crystal Palace Roller Lofts" _______(Ray Sanchez)_______

Hey Sant, That wasn"t appropriate considering the current international climate we're in. I was never in the military nor do I regret it, but the individuals who posted photos and/or talked about friends and loved ones who are currently serving, did so with a sense of pride and honor that was evident in the way they expressed themselves in the post. Some of our U.S.leadership has certainly failed us in many ways, there's no denying that. However, those who have the stregnth of character to stand tall for the principles the U.S. has that are focused in the right direction should be honored. These are dangerous times in the military world and not to be taken lightly. Any of the previous posters could lose someone before Christmas. Through prayer and the grace of God they will all serve their country and hopefully come home the better for it in character.
Sant, I don't know you so it would be unfair and silly for me to make any negative comments about you. In fact I'm sure you were generally speaking and referring to the confusion and frustration this war has produced. So please do not take this post as an attack on you or your character. I would never do that. Those here who know me can confirm that it's not my way. We just have to be careful with such a sensitive subject my friend.

If my post was so disrespectful, why is it you don't see Scott's 1st post on this thread as being disrespecful where he said anyone who doesn't serve in the army should never be issued a library card?Talk about talking shit Scott. Those lines I wrote here this morning came from a song written in the 1960s by a guy named Country Joe McDonald of Country Joe and the Fish fame,it was when there was so much protest from MANY Americans regarding the war in Vietnam(which turned out to be a BIG mistake on the part of the US govt)and most Canadians were against that war too. Now,when someone puts a post on here about there children getting ready to go off to an illegal, unjust war on the other side of the world, that person is putting it out here for everyone to comment on and there are I'm sure many people on here who do not agree with the US military being in the Middle East. The trouble is,most folks don't have the balls to voice any opposition.I realize my post on this thread will be moderated if you want to call it that and I accept that BIG BRO is everywhere, but I will still voice my opinions regardless.Feel free to censor my words, but I'm telling you I have the right to say what I like and Scott,by the way,I have the comforts in life and live in a peaceful part of the world because I was born here and worked my -ss off to get the things I have.If you want to take us back to remember hitler and the japanese and world war 2,I think you are dreaming in the past if you say because they were defeated is why I don't live in a 3rd world shithole.I know I'll never see eye to eye with alot of people on this subject but it is as simple as I don't agree with military might or theproduction of arms that hurt people.Excuse me. ---------- Kel. Well Sant, Thank you for not taking offense to my post. I do as many Americans do, understand your frustration. I think we all have them in one way or another, whether it's over war or something entirely different. Being able to express oneself is a wonderful example of the freedom we have. My post was not meant in anyway to suggest that expressing yourself is wrong by any means. It was my suggestion that out of respect for each other, we find a way to do it that may not sound offensive yet still be effective in it's content. That does not imply that you compromise your feelings or values. In fact I appreciate that you appear not to. Nontheless, I stand on the principle that it's not neccessary for grown men to sugar coat everything they say because it may be sensitive to some. However, I do feel that with this particular subject, it would do us good to be mindful of the effects, frustrations and losses from all perspectives and appreciate the fact that the intent of the governments may not mirror the intent of each person serving. Thats why they deserve the respect of everyone who chooses to voice an opinion on this matter just as your opinion should be valued and respected. I believe my suggestion is as good a way as any.
That being said I will no longer comment on this issue but get back to reading and enjoying what this site was designed for.... The discussion of Rollers.
