My cousin is moving to Alaska. He want's me to send him his birds when he gets there (if possible). Can we ship birds to Alaska? How much is the fee? Will the birds need to get check in Canada first or does it go straight to Alaska? I have never done it before; therefore, I am asking if anyone has done it. Any info would be much appreciated.

I've never done it from Canada, but from what I understand about shipping birds within the continental US,yes, they can be shipped anywhere in the US via USPS(Fedex). There is I'm sure direct flights to Alaska which don't stop in Canada. Also I know of one gal who has Oriental Rollers up there and she had them shipped there pretty sure.USPS is cheap at $50 to send 6 birds from California to Blaine, Washington.I don't think it would be much more to send them all the way to Ketchican or wherever.
