its cool if it is a recessive to a red check. Color balancing is important. Breed soft to hard. Steve agent wrote a really interesting article on this. You probably could find the article if you ask around.

BigWilly,My best pair of Hendersons. A recessive red cock 1995- 246 and a resessive red hen 1996-9 were paired together for as long as I owned them. They threw recessive reds, black and checks and mottles. I believe in color balancing, but now and then it's ok. Kim

Breed your best to best and dont worry about the color. The worst thing that can happen is you will get all red birds.

Hey Sippi. Do you think that if you keep breeding soft to soft you will loose control? I think that it depends on the family. What do you think?

I got a whole kit this summer and I was not able to fly them. I have seen the same birds fly at his crib so I know what I have. I am actually kind of sick that I did not fly them.

If that is all you have, I would but you should not do it often. It is not recomended. Good luck.

Steve has some of most beautiful birds that I have ever seen. Those reds and blacks, u can just look at them and tell they can roll. Same for Wood and Norm, nice birds
