Nick Siders, Me, Ferrill Bussing, Ben Winkleman, Carl Braker(Turkey Buzzard)
If 35 MPH winds weren't bad enough, Coopers attacked early in my fly (see it in the middle) Its mate is already chowing on my best bird.
I birds got a nice DQ!

DQ with both kits. He would of done well, but the wind and rain were relentless. He had some excellant birds though(both A and B kits). Norm Boettcher flew a great kit also, but had a major downpoor about halfway thru and the birds landed early. One of the two would definatly be leading otherwise. Ferrell is ahead at the moment. Him and Pat Holder were the only two that have scores so far.
Very bad weather, but I had a blast anyways! I travelled with Nick, Carl and Ferrell. Let me tell you, they ain't right! LOL!

yea Val you had a great time you know the deal if it ain't the weather ,its the BOP,or the birds them self that sometimes makes you look bad..so all and all its the good time you have that really counts ...thx for the photo..hope next time you have better luck..peace..

-Val this is Turkey Buzzard and the weather has not gotton any better. Nick got us lost in Missouri and I swear I saw Sasquatch. Kits doing the same every where we go. We are having fun.
On a serious note keep your head up you are the best!!! Watch out guys cause Val will be there one day he is to dedicated and yearning for knowledge. Good luck and see you X-Mas.

Hey Val, 'The guy in the middle' is Terry McDevitt...lol! We had an awesome time! And it was truly a testament to the line in our state song, 'OKLAHOMA...where the wind comes sweeping down the plain!'
I can honestly say that the group of guys we met were top notch (as well as their birds!)!

Tell Terry I'm sorry, I never forget a face but I stink at names. Hope you guys can make the rounds on the state fly on Nov. 8th and 9th weekend. I think I've got one maybe two more guys talked into flying that weekend. I know a couple more that want to be added to the list by next year's WC comp also. Hope you and Terry are ready by then. We've got things picking up here in Okla. sounds like.
Thanks to Sal Ortiz, I think our futurity fly next spring will be more like a lawn show and auction. He is trying to get things organized to make it happen. Should be able to pick up some good birds there.
Paul, you can't have Nick back, he is ours now! LOL

I have several performing well and getting better with maturity. My best bird was a black self and getting lots of attention, right before the first cooper swooped it away! LOL the second coop went away hungry, but only after several attempts.
Carl Braker (Turkey buzzard)let me be the score keeper all through the Kansas fly and it was great experience. I scored the birds in my mind just to see how we compared and it was amazingly close. I saw things pretty much as he did. I will be glad to do it again anytime I get the chance.
Thanks for all you've done for me Joe! I plan on beating you with your own bloodline someday! LOL

PR, Friday was a better day for me!..lol. Saturday was UGLY!..lol.. I went on the fly and a good time with all these guys, we have a good group of guys! I will post some pics later today.

Just wanted to add that I had a great time (I only got to go Sunday the 5th and Saturday the 11th). You guys Rock! I had my ears open listening to every conversation. Although there were winds, BOP and stubborn birds to contend with, I learned a lot! I also Got to see a lot of great lofts and scenery! But, now ya'll are gonna have to watch out! I got the bug!LOL!
