jynce, here's some info for you. This spring I obtained three Rubys to go along with my original four. But this time I put them in the kit box and flew them. All three are spinning. One is 20-25ft very fast, the second is 10-15ft with good speed and form and the last one is doing 10 footer with real good speed. No faults good speed and style.
Pretty good percentages as far as I am concerned.

Ron nailed it! I have not flown the birds I received from Tony but the young I have raised are everything I could wish for. Easy to manage in the loft, and in the kit box. They are very stable in the air and kit tight. Mine have produced a few outstanding cock birds and several good hens. In mine I do see a tendency for the better spinners to be cocks, not to say the hens are not all that! The hens are just a little slower coming into the roll but once there are very nice. They still have to be managed correctly as would any strain, but I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I fly Ruby Rollers and I love them. Tony's birds are as good any and better then many. You may as well kick down the doe and get good ones right off the bat. Or you can spend money over and over getting inferior birds. Anyway..I am a comp flier and I have been flying them since 04 and I love them...they are easy to handle and LIKE to roll...dont have to do much to get them to roll...anyway...hope you get some....

jnyce.........I started 4 yrs with a "good family" of birds at the time. But,hear I am 4yrs later with much more knowledge and experience under my belt. Iam starting all over again but, this time I will be starting off with a few pairs of Tony's Ruby. I have learned from past experience and the good words from the guys that have flown this family of birds that they are the real deal. The Ruby's produce just what I am looking for and want in a roller. This is just my honest opinion. You can take it for what its worth.

jnyce.........thats a good question. If you can't afford to loose them, don't fly them. The birds you get from Tony will be good enough to keep as prisoners and breed them when they are of age. BUT,that's a decision that only you can make. I personally didn't fly the 2pr I got from Tony. I just waited and bred them and am very happy with the end results. That just my suggestion.
