Nice story.I wonder what type of Roller they fly there in Iraq and if they are Oriental Rollers.Doesn't sound like BRs.

The rollers I saw in Iraq looked like Orientals or Iranian Tumblers and did not roll anything like BR's. The "rolls" were very loose and no more than 10-15 feet.

I read that story as well in the sunday times and i wondered myself what kind of rollers they had for that kind of price. Those guys most have a lot of oil money over there for 1,000 a pop.

I spent almost two and a half years in Iraq, never saw a hawk !! There are quit a few folks that have pigeons, they flew over our camp all the time. The wild pigeon and dove numbers were large also, which leads me to believe they don't have much of a BOP problem.
