Can this be done or not? Should they be flown at different times of the day?

My birds would always get together and make (1) big kit. For me the more birds you fly together the harder it is to identify birds (good or bad). Also the bigger the kit the more likely to attract a falcon. I have been trying to keep my young bird kits down to around 15 birds for that reason.

you can actually fly how many you like, unless you flying for a comp then you have to fly within the guidelines or rules of such.
flying 2 kits allows you to get more birds into the in a short period of time

Andrew, I turned out over 50 young birds today. about 40 of them made one big kit. then there was a few that wanted to fly about 100 feet higher. I do this occasionally to get some air time on their wings when I`m short on time. They actually tend to fly a better pattern also.

I tend to get young bird kits that think they fly for Nascar, and like to just go in circles. A few times in a big kit flying a better figure 8 type pattern seems to help them out of that habit. Just my opinion...

You can if you want. I flew 165 birds in one kit one time just to see what would happen. Took me two hours to get them all trapped and sorted. A lot of times when I am short on time but still need my flying fix I will turn out 50 or 60 at one time.

yes nothing wrong with it from a non competitive standpoint. I remember when I was a kid my father would release 100 birds of so of deep hardcore high velocity spinners...old school type though, waterfalls! now that was a sight to see.
